| Aim of Masters programme |
As a partnership between Universität des Saarlandes (D), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (E), Luleå tekniska universitet (S) and Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine (F), this Master programme aims to provide:
- A well-integrated language and cultural experience
- Education in close relation to the research activities of the four consortium members
- Education in advanced materials, to enhance the innovation potential of the students in their future activities
- Preparation of the students for life-long learning in new places and new education/work systems
- Enhancement of networking activities within the EU and with third countries in the field of research and education.
The degree delivered to the students at the end of the two-year course is a double Masters degree awarded by the two universities where the students have studied. |

BSc. or equivalent in the field of materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, or other engineering disciplines. |

Sufficient knowledge of the language of the first hosting university (at least a EU- B2 level, see grading of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). |

| Learning outcomes |
All graduates of the AMASE Programme will be able to:
- Start Ph.D.-studies.
- Reinforce the research teams within the consortium or in industrial,
university laboratories in their country of origin as well as in similar institutions world-wide.
- Take responsibility for an industrial research
or development project.
- Adapt easily to working in new countries/new cultures.
- Work in international networks as required by an increasingly
globalized industrial and scientific environment.
- Transfer their knowledge to other students and work as a multiplicator,
especially in their home countries.
- Integrate multinational work teams (industry or universities)
with the advantage of the language skills and cultural knowledge gained during the Master programme.
